School Specialty Online Batch Registration Quick Instructions
Click here for a printable view of these instructions. To use the batch registration form, fill in the registration template and then email it to onlinehelp@schoolspecialty.com. This file is in Excel format.
Below you will find definitions of the fields located on the registration template. If this form doesn't answer all of your questions, please email us at onlinehelp@schoolspecialty.com. 1. Approver's Name
- Enter the name of the person who approves the orders of the user you're entering in this field.
- If the user you are entering has the authority to submit orders without approval, then put their name in this field.
- If an approver is set to have their orders approved by someone else, then any orders that are submitted to their approval will also go through their workflow. To achieve this, on the principal's line, put the superintendents name in "Approver's Name" field. Then on the teacher's line, put the principals name in the "Approver's Name" field.
2. First Name
- Enter the first name of the user you're adding in this field.
3. Last Name
- Enter the last name of the user you're adding in this field.
4. Username
- Enter the desired username for the user you're adding in this field.
- Note: We may need to change your preferred username, because it must be a unique name to our system. This field must be between 5 and 12 characters.
5. Password
- Enter the desired password for the user you're adding in this field.
- Note: This field must be between 5 and 12 characters.
6. Job Title
- Enter the users job function in this field.
7. Budget Codes
- If a user always uses the same budget on every order, you can enter a budget code in this field and it will automatically default to the budget code you enter into this field every time they start a new order. The first budget code entered will become their default.
- The user can also change their budget code, and enter new budget codes when placing their order.
8. Phone Number
- Enter the best phone number to contact this user should we have questions in this field.
9. Fax Number
- Enter the best fax number to contact this user should we have questions in this field.
10. Email Address
- Enter the users email address in this field.
- This field allows us to send order status updates to this user.
- This field allows us to send emails to this user when/if an order is submitted for their approval.
11. Shipping Name/Address
- Enter the users shipping name and/or address in this field.
- If you're adding a lot of users from the same address, enter the name and address of the school on the first user you put on the form from that school. Then enter just the name of the school on the subsequent users if you feel that is easier than entering the name and address for every user.
